I’ve been horribly bad with the birthday updates this year… something I will rectify immediately with the next birthdays (Dan and Nick’s). However, today’s post is to celebrate Grandma Ginger, who had a birthday on September 2nd!! Happy Birthday!
I’ve been horribly bad with the birthday updates this year… something I will rectify immediately with the next birthdays (Dan and Nick’s). However, today’s post is to celebrate Grandma Ginger, who had a birthday on September 2nd!! Happy Birthday!
On Tuesday, Ted turned 80 and a bunch of us headed to the Hitchcock House to celebrate. Friend of the family Bruce hosted the party at his lovely farmhouse, and the family banded together to make lots of great food. The party began in the afternoon and went well into the evening, full of mingling and laughter.
This post is also going to acknowledge the passing of the birthday – Happy Birthday, Ted! – as well as the updating of the photo gallery. A little taste of the pictures is below, but you can see the rest by clicking here.
Last weekend, Lindsay and I and a number of friends headed to Pennsylvania to go camping. We spent the weekend hiking, rafting and sleeping in tents. All went very well, though it did rain the second night – pouring nearly all night, which kept most of us up but was still fun. We ended the weekend with a birthday dinner celebration back at home for Lindsay’s birthday.
So this post also serves as Lindsay’s Happy Birthday post!
It also serves as a way to say that the photo gallery has been updated with pictures from the trip. You will get a little taste of them below, but if you would like to see the whole album, click here (and, as usual, the entire photo gallery may be accessed by the links on the left and right sidebars).
Today Mom celebrates her 55th birthday which, around these parts, we feel is a big deal since she was born in 1955.
Also today, Carol celebrates her birthday, and I’m sure it will be celebrated well with James and the boys!
Happy Birthday!
Grandma A’s birthday was on Saturday, and I couldn’t let too many more days go by without wishing her a very happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!
Finally remembering to do a birthday post on an actual birthday, everyone should help celebrate Ami’s birthday today!
Birthday greetings go out to Joe today, who celebrates his 26th birthday!
Also, congratulations are in order as Joe recently found out that he was accepted into Julliard for his graduate studies!
This month has been a busy one, hence the lack of posting, which will hopefully change in May. There have been quite a few things going on, all of which deserve mention.
The last post was done on Easter, to simply wish Happy Easter. The holiday was nice. I was proud to make the entire meal all by myself, including the traditional Easter cake (from Nigella Lawson’s Feast cookbook). The entire dinner was done Julia Child style – from Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Everything came out perfectly, with the exception of the hollandaise for the asparagus, which I made the mistake of trying to reheat, and so ended up with this gloppy concoction (it still tasted great, however!).
April 18 was Robert’s 13th birthday! Hopefully I’ll get out to visit Carol and James soon and get some updated pictures of the boys! April 22nd brought another family birthday – Kevin’s!
Well, once again time has flown by and crazy life has taken over, making me neglect to update the site with the recent news. I am fully aware that there hasn’t been a picture in two weeks, and that is a situation I will rectify right now. However, first there is some birthday news to share!
On Friday, Jordan celebrated his twenty-fifth birthday!

Above Jordan and Colette this past Christmas.
And today is a real-time birthday post, as it is James’ birthday! I have no recent pictures to share, as it has been a shamefully long time since I have gone to see Carol, James and the boys, and a situation I will rectify as soon as possible!
